Call for Papers
The Wales Higher Education Library Forum (WHELF) is delighted to announce the much-anticipated return of our popular Excluded Voices conference, taking place this year on Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 November on Zoom.
The Excluded Voices conference—organised by the WHELF Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Group—seeks to explore ways in which the intersectionality of voices can shape policy, collections, services, and organisational culture.
Excluded Voices is a platform for sharing good practice in the Libraries, Museums and Heritage sector. We’d like to invite colleagues across the UK to tell us about their projects, initiatives and discoveries in the ongoing work to remove barriers, optimise accessibility and maximise inclusion.
We are eagerly seeking presentations for each of the following categories/lengths:
· 5-minute ‘Digital Poster Session’
· 10-minute ‘Lightning Round’ presentation followed by discussion facilitation
· 20-minute Short Paper
· 40-minute Long Paper
To submit your abstract please complete the attached template and return to Gill Morris, WHELF Development Officer by 14th July 2023
You’ll be contacted by 15 August 2023 to confirm acceptance of your abstract.
We intend to record all presentations for inclusion on our webpage for the benefit of colleagues across the sector.
Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to learning more about the wonderful work that you do.
