ALIS Wales

The ALIS (Accessible Library and Information Services) Wales  group collaborates  to:

  • advise on relevant issues and share good practice relating to the provision of inclusive, accessible and equal library, services, resources and information for the benefit of key stakeholders and library staff
  • responds to library/library related issues affected by equality and diversity legislation, policy and practice
  • identifies and engages with issues relevant to libraries associated with equality and diversity practice and policy (e.g. knowledge exchange)
  • supports colleagues in raising awareness of key equality and diversity issues pertaining to library services and to offer training support and activities
  • establishes a communication flow and engages with cross-sector colleagues, agencies and partners
