WHELF Learning and Teaching Group Teachmeet: Advance HE (HEA) Fellowship 9th March 2023

Join us for this free online teachmeet where colleagues will share their tips and experiences on applying for HEA membership. This session will demystify the process of applying for a level of HEA fellowship and help colleagues gain confidence with the scheme. It is aimed at colleagues who are at different levels, from those who are not familiar with HEA fellowship to those who are in the process of applying.

Speakers will include:

  • Sarah George (Subject Librarian, University of Bradford) who is a National Teaching Fellow and Senior Fellow
  • Stuart Abbott and Chris Dennis (Academic Skills Specialists, Cardiff Metropolitan University) who are HEA Fellowship mentors and assessors. They are also Teaching Advisors on the PgC in HE.
  • José López-Blanco (Faculty Librarian, University of South Wales) a recently appointed HEA Fellowship mentor and assessor whose talk will be focusing on reflective practice
  • Helen Bader and Sally Brockway (both Assistant Heads of Library Services, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama) who will be sharing their experiences of applying for Associate Fellow.
