UK Regional Consortia Managers’ Meeting

On Wednesday 1 July 2020 I represented WHELF at the UK Regional Consortia Managers’ Meeting, along with colleagues from The Northern Collaboration, Mercian Collaboration, the M25 Consortium of Academic Libraries, NoWAL and SCURL. Kate from White Rose was unfortunately unable to attend.

Due to Covid-19 we have been meeting via Zoom. The main topics for discussion were how our member institutions were tackling the current situation, our own roles in this context and how regional variations affected us in the 3 nations involved.

We also discussed online conferences, which WHELF has already experienced, since the annual WHELF/HEWIT Colloquium in June 2020 was moved from Gregynog Hall to online.

All agreed it is helpful to meet and share experiences and good practice, and we aim to meet again in early September
