HEW relaunches itself as Universities Wales

From 22 September 2014 Higher Education Wales (HEW) is re-launching as ‘Universities Wales’. The purpose of the new name is to help make it clear that they represent universities in Wales rather than higher education in a more general sense. The name also signals a new focus in their work – both at home and abroad – raising awareness of the ground-breaking work taking place at campuses across the country, and the vital contribution the sector makes to the nation’s economy and future prosperity.
