The WHELF Learning and Teaching Group is organising a TeachMeet on the theme of Data Driven Decisions on the 1st September 2022. We are pleased to announce that Amy Stubbing (@Amyodo), author of Data Driven Decisions, will be our key speaker for the event.

Amy is currently Academic Engagement Lead at University of Westminster where she is responsible for strategic planning and development of the learning support provision for the university, including academic liaison and academic learning development.

Amy’s interest in data and using it to inform service decisions and developments to improve user experience has been a core part of her career. Amy has worked with numerous university libraries on embedding a culture of data-driven decisions and will be focusing her talk on how we can support colleagues with a unified approach and language to data.

This will be followed by a presentation by John Dalling, Head of Collections at the University of Wales Trinity St David, who is responsible for the Library Collections Team. This team manages the Library’s digital and print collections along with the Library systems and discovery services, including the Library Management System, Library Catalogue and website. John will focus on using Microsoft PowerBI for library reports.

There will also be an opportunity at the end to practice some of Amy’s and John’s idea for data collection.
