Chair of Digital Information / Digital Humanities at Aberystwyth

The Department of Information Studies at Aberystwyth is recruiting a new Chair of Digital Information / Digital Humanities.

We are seeking an outstanding scholar to develop and lead new research and teaching in digital humanities/information at Aberystwyth University. In particular, she/he will provide a strong point of focus and binding to strengthen academic partnerships in new interdisciplinary research centres being developed by the University as part of its ambitious 2012-2017 Strategic Plan. We aim to build a strong international presence in digital humanities/information and the Chair will have a key role in these exciting new developments. This is a post for an ambitious, innovative scholar motivated by the possibilities of the discipline interacting with others to lead cutting edge research of international significance.  The role holder will be expected to forge strong partnerships with the National Library of Wales.
