HLG Wales are organising study days about health information for other library sector staff , including those working in academic libraries

Speakers from NHS Direct and Health Promotion Wales will be presenting, and a general overview of services and resources will be provided.  Hands-on workshops guided by health information staff will allow participants to explore resources for themselves and find out the expert health information available.  There will also be an interactive workshop session that will focus on reading and what health benefits it brings to individuals, looking at how the health sector can benefit your library sector and an opportunity to draw up an action plan for the future.

The study day in the South will be at the National Botanic Gardens, so delegates will also be able to explore the wonderful gardens, glass houses and library.

  • South Wales is Monday 6th July at the Botanical Gardens
  • North Wales – this is yet to be confirmed
  • Funding has been provided by CyMAL, so the courses are free to delegates.
