We are pleased to invite you to attend this event organised by librarians from Wales Higher Education Libraries Forum (WHELF) and the Great Western 4 libraries. This will be an ideal opportunity to share ideas and expertise on the theme of research support with colleagues from across Wales, the South-West and further afield.

The keynote speaker will be the distinguished IL researcher and practitioner Moira Bent from Newcastle University. Moira is a National Teaching Fellow and is co-author of the SCONUL 7 Pillars and the research lens for HE. She is also co-author of numerous articles and monographs in the field of research support including ‘Providing Effective Library Services for Research’ (Facet 2007).

Other speakers include Kate Bradbury (Cardiff University) on supporting the Research Excellence Framework (REF) and Sam Oakley & Claire Boucher who will discuss innovative research support initiatives at Swansea University.

The day will also feature a lively TeachMeet covering an array of topics relating to assisting researchers acquire knowledge and skills in fields such as social media, data management and open access publishing.
